Cut EV charging costs by two-thirds: the workplace brands making it possible

Fleet managers looking to ease rising EV running costs have a new cost-control opportunity: workplace charging.

New research from Fuuse finds that charging at work can be up to 66% cheaper than using public networks — averaging just 25.9p/kWh across more than one million recorded sessions. Employers using Fuuse’s charge-point management platform can also tailor tariffs so that staff pay less than visitors or the public, adding flexibility to cost recovery.

But achieving these savings requires smart infrastructure choices. The FleetWise Trusted Products Guide highlights three providers delivering scalable, compliant workplace solutions:

Bumblebee, whose turnkey packages and TeltoCharge hardware integrate dynamic load balancing and solar compatibility.

eFaraday, combining installation, monitoring and cost reporting under one contract — ideal for multi-location fleets.

Pod Point, offering chargers from 7 kW to 350 kW with app and RFID control, enabling simple cost tracking for employees.

Beyond lower unit prices, workplace charging improves retention by offering staff a valued benefit, ensures vehicles are topped up during idle hours, and cuts downtime linked to public-network delays.

To get started, FleetWise recommends assessing grid capacity, exploring OZEV grant eligibility, and using reputable partners from our Trusted EV Charging collection to future-proof installations.
