Data from Confused.com highlights specific UK streets generating the highest number of Penalty Charge Notices, offering fleets clear risk indicators for route planning and driver briefings.

Corporation Street at Aston Road, Birmingham – 62,725 tickets

Oxford Street (Whitworth St to Chepstow St), Manchester – 39,521 tickets

Cumberland Road, Bristol – 37,862 tickets

Heaton Lane, Central Stockport – 34,284 tickets, 57% of all council PCNs

Station Parade, Barking – 33,440 tickets, £2,030,242 generated

George Street, Corby – 32,100 tickets

Bull Lane N18, Enfield – 30,276 tickets

Mount Pleasant, Tunbridge Wells – 28,930 tickets

Arundel Gate near St Paul’s Place Service Road, Sheffield – 27,963 tickets

Albert Bridge North Side, Kensington and Chelsea – 27,821 tickets

More than £42 million was generated from these hotspots alone, contributing to £530 million in total PCN revenue.

Common triggers include parking, bus lanes and yellow box junctions, particularly in city centres. Proactive driver alerts, clearer internal guidance and telematics based geofencing around known hotspots could reduce repeat penalties and protect operating budgets.
