Škoda previews Epiq as brand’s most affordable electric SUV

Škoda Auto has previewed the new Epiq, a compact all-electric city SUV designed to make EV ownership more accessible for everyday drivers and fleets. The model will be officially unveiled in the first half of 2026 and will sit as the entry point to Škoda’s growing EV range.

Built on the new front-wheel-drive MEB+ platform, the Epiq combines compact exterior dimensions with a spacious interior, including a 475-litre boot. Depending on version, it offers a range of up to 267 miles (WLTP) and DC charging up to 133kW, allowing a 10-80% recharge in just over 20 minutes.

Crucially for cost-conscious buyers, pricing in many markets is expected to be comparable to the petrol Škoda Kamiq, giving drivers a clear choice between combustion and electric power.

Klaus Zellmer said the Epiq will “make electromobility even more accessible,” adding that it will play a key role as Škoda looks to double its electric portfolio by 2026.
