Three fleet product launches to watch this week

From battery health warranties to tamper-proof video evidence and faster van conversions, this week's fleet technology launches all focus on reducing risk, improving compliance and simplifying operations.

FleetFusion launches video verification standard

FleetFusion has introduced SecureFusion, an open industry standard designed to verify whether dashcam and fleet video evidence has been altered.

Using blockchain technology, SecureFusion creates a permanent record of key video metadata, allowing insurers, courts, regulators and fleets to independently verify that footage has not been modified since it was uploaded. FleetFusion believes the move could help strengthen the credibility of video evidence as it becomes increasingly important in insurance claims and legal proceedings.

Aviloo introduces used EV battery warranty

Battery diagnostics specialist Aviloo is launching a new battery warranty for used electric vehicles across the UK and Europe.

Based on independent battery health testing, the warranty provides buyers with up to £2,700 compensation if battery performance falls below a calculated threshold during the one-year cover period. The move aims to increase confidence in used EVs and could prove particularly valuable for fleets remarketing electric vehicles at the end of lease.

Renault simplifies factory-built van conversions

Renault has launched "Converted by Renault", a new factory-backed conversion programme covering crew vans, tippers, dropsides and specialist commercial vehicles.

The manufacturer says the scheme can reduce delivery times by up to 30%, while providing a single invoice, Renault-backed warranty and potentially stronger residual values. Future versions will also include the upcoming Trafic E-Tech electric van, offering fleets a simpler route into specialist electric LCVs.
