Three new solutions fleets should know about this week

A mix of new product launches and initiatives this week highlights how suppliers are focusing on practical ways to improve safety, reduce admin and better manage risk across fleet operations.

ADAS charter sets clearer safety standards

Fleet Assist has introduced a six-point ADAS charter aimed at helping fleets manage increasingly complex vehicle safety systems.

The focus is on getting the basics right – clear calibration rules after repairs, ensuring maintenance networks are equipped to handle ADAS, and building checks into everyday fleet processes. Driver training is also a key part, helping teams understand how systems like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control actually behave.

With insurers now asking for proof of calibration in some cases, this is about avoiding problems before they turn into cost or liability issues.

AI analytics tool simplifies fleet data

Motive has launched an AI-powered analytics solution designed to make fleet data easier to use.

Built into its dashboard, it brings together safety, fuel and maintenance data, with automated reporting and real-time insights. A conversational AI feature allows managers to ask questions in plain English, rather than working through spreadsheets.

The aim is simple – help fleets spot issues earlier and make decisions faster, rather than reacting after the fact.

Connected insurance targets haulage risk

Flock has launched a connected insurance product for haulage fleets, in partnership with Admiral.

The model uses telematics data to assess risk continuously, linking safer driving with lower premiums. Fleets using this approach have reported fewer claims, which can also mean less downtime and lower repair costs.

For operators, it’s a more direct link between how vehicles are driven and what they cost to insure – something that’s likely to become more common as telematics adoption continues to grow.
