Volvo EX60 sets the benchmark with 503 mile electric range

Volvo has revealed the all electric EX60, a mid size SUV that places driving range firmly at the centre of its appeal. Capable of travelling up to 503 miles on a single charge in all wheel drive form, the EX60 delivers the longest range of any electric Volvo to date and sets a new standard for the segment.

That range is supported by rapid charging capability. Using a 400kW fast charger, the EX60 can add up to 211 miles of range in just ten minutes, turning brief stops into meaningful top ups for longer journeys. Volvo says the combination of long range and fast charging removes remaining barriers to electric ownership.

“The new, all electric EX60 changes the game in terms of range, charging and price,” said Håkan Samuelsson, CEO of Volvo Cars. “With this car, we remove all remaining obstacles for going electric.”

Built on Volvo’s new SPA3 electric architecture, the EX60 uses cell to body technology, new battery design and advanced aerodynamics to maximise efficiency. Three powertrain options are available, with ranges of up to 503, 410 and 385 miles. Production starts this spring, with first deliveries expected this summer. The new Ex60 is priced from £56,860.
