Toyota has unveiled a comprehensively upgraded bZ4X, building on the success of its first purpose-designed battery-electric SUV with greater range, performance, and choice — and a sharper focus on fleet appeal.
Priced from £39,995, the new line-up introduces two battery options (57.7kWh and 73.1kWh) and a re-engineered BEV powertrain that delivers higher efficiency, faster charging, and a range of up to 352 miles on the Design model with 18-inch wheels. Orders open on 3 November, with first customer deliveries due in January 2026.
For fleet and business buyers, the updates bring a more compelling balance of usability and cost control. The Excel grade gains a 22kW onboard AC charger, halving workplace charging times, alongside battery pre-conditioning for faster DC sessions and consistent range in cold weather.
Three trim levels – Icon, Design, and Excel – offer a broad choice of features and price points:
Icon (from £39,995) – 57.7kWh battery, front-wheel drive, heated front seats and steering wheel, 14-inch multimedia display, dual wireless phone chargers, and power tailgate.
Design (from £45,795) – 73.1kWh battery, panoramic view monitor, puddle lights, windscreen de-icer, and enhanced styling.
Excel (from £48,995 FWD / £51,545 AWD) – 73.1kWh battery, available with all-wheel drive, 20-inch alloys, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, synthetic leather trim, and 22kW onboard charger.
A Premium Pack (£2,500) adds a panoramic roof, JBL audio, and bi-tone paint.
Externally, the bZ4X adopts a more distinctive design, with a new light bar linking slimmer headlights and refreshed alloy options. Inside, a new slimline dashboard and “digital island” centre console with twin wireless chargers bring a clean, modern feel.
Toyota has also enhanced ride comfort and cabin refinement, improving noise suppression and tuning suspension for a smoother drive — key considerations for fleet users spending long hours behind the wheel.
Already a popular choice among Uber drivers, corporate fleets, and public sector operators, the bZ4X’s latest evolution underlines Toyota’s momentum in electrified mobility — and its position as the top-rated brand for fleet decarbonisation, according to the 360 Media Group Car Brand Tracker 2025.
With improved range, faster charging, and a stronger equipment offering, the new bZ4X stands out as a smarter, more versatile option for fleets looking to transition to electric without compromise.
