The Government’s £650 million Electric Car Grant (EGC) offers up to £3750 off EVs priced under £37,000. Band one cars get £3750, band two £1500, depending on sustainability standards. Carmakers must commit to science-based targets and carbon limits. Some Chinese models may not qualify due to sustainability issues.
