Autoglass takes ADAS recalibration mobile to reduce fleet downtime

Autoglass has launched Mobile Recalibration Pro, a new service designed to complete Advanced Driver Assistance Systems recalibration at the vehicle rather than requiring an additional workshop visit.

The technology has been co-developed with Bosch and combines body-scanning equipment, AI-powered alignment software and digital calibration targets. It is designed to compensate for real-world conditions including uneven surfaces and changing light, allowing manufacturer-standard ADAS recalibration to be carried out on site.

For fleets, that could remove a significant source of disruption following windscreen replacement.

ADAS cameras and sensors often need recalibrating after glass work, and traditionally that can mean moving the vehicle to a suitable workshop or arranging another appointment.

Autoglass says the mobile system works with both cars and vans and supports static and dynamic recalibration across the majority of the UK vehicle parc.

The operational benefit is less vehicle movement, fewer appointments and a faster return to service while still maintaining the calibration required for safety systems to operate correctly.

As ADAS becomes standard across more fleet vehicles, recalibration is increasingly part of routine repair management rather than an occasional specialist requirement.
