Chinese automotive brand iCAUR will make its UK debut in early 2027, with the V27 confirmed as its first model for fleets looking for a high-riding, off-road orientated SUV.
Part of Chery International - the same umbrella as the Omoda & Jaecoo brands - iCAUR will launch as a standalone brand with its own UK team and route to market. The V27 is a five-seat SUV combining rugged styling, off-road capability and an electrified powertrain, although full UK specifications have yet to be confirmed.
However, we expect it to rival a range of off-road SUVs including the Land Rover Defender and Toyota Land Cruiser, as well as lifestyle options such as the BMW X3.
The iCAUR V27 is powered by Chery's 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with the choice of one or two electric motors. In overseas markets, the dual-motor AWD version produces around 449bhp, with a 34.3kWh battery and a claimed electric range of up to 93-miles on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).

To tailor the V27 to UK driving conditions, iCAUR will use Chery Automobile’s new R&D Centre of Excellence at UTAC Millbrook to refine it for the British market.
The launch marks another step in Chery’s expansion in Britain, following the announcement of Freelander setting sail for the UK market. Further details on UK pricing, specifications and the launch programme are expected in the coming months. The brand has also confirmed that its launching a smaller V25 model, though UK plans for it are still unconfirmed.
