Geotab and Vitality have launched a joint initiative in the UK aimed at improving driver safety and wellbeing through a new telematics-driven rewards platform.
Currently in beta testing, the Geotab Vitality system integrates AI-powered predictive collision risk analytics with behavioural science and a ‘global driver status’ score, which benchmarks individual driver risk against peer groups.
Drivers using the platform can earn daily points for safe driving and receive rewards when meeting personalised weekly goals. The initiative recognises the pressures faced by fleet drivers and aims to blend empathy with innovation to improve the driving experience.
Geotab’s Edward Kulperger described the venture as a strategic step towards addressing the human side of fleet management. Vitality’s Francois Theron added that the collaboration delivers shared value by promoting safer roads, rewarding positive behaviour, and reducing costs for businesses.
With 67% of UK van and lorry drivers open to tech that enhances performance, this solution offers meaningful, data-led engagement for fleets.
