Kia’s new EV5 electric SUV will launch later this year, offering up to 329 miles of WLTP range from an 81.4kWh battery. The car supports 150kW DC fast charging, allowing 10–80% top-ups in just 30 minutes, and 11kW AC charging at home. Its single motor produces 218PS, enabling 0-62mph acceleration in 8.4 seconds.
Built on Kia’s modular E-GMP platform, the EV5 features a flat-folding rear seat design that extends the boot space to a two-metre load area. Standard boot capacity is 566 litres, complemented by a 44-litre frunk.
The EV5's front seats offer massage, four-way lumbar support and heating/ventilation. The interior also includes tri-zone climate control, fingerprint recognition, and Digital Key 2.0.
The ccNC infotainment system includes a panoramic display housing 12.3-inch instrument and infotainment screens plus a 5.3-inch climate display. A Harman Kardon premium audio system is fitted.
Energy management is enhanced by Smart Regeneration System Plus and i-Pedal 3.0 one-pedal driving. The EV5 also includes bi-directional charging, supporting V2L (3.6kW) and V2G capabilities.
Safety is bolstered by seven airbags and a full ADAS suite, including expanded Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist covering front, rear, and side impact zones.
