Alphabet has launched a web-based sustainability management platform designed to help fleets manage their net zero journey and meet mandatory emissions reporting requirements.
The software provides detailed insights into a fleet’s overall carbon impact, converting raw data on direct and indirect emissions into actionable strategies for reducing emissions. Developed specifically for fleet operations, the platform is part of Alphabet’s partnership with Plan A, a corporate carbon accounting and ESG reporting software provider.

In 2022, the UK Government’s Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) made it mandatory for large corporations to disclose climate-related financial risks, affecting over 1,300 businesses. From 2026, all companies will be subject to sustainability disclosure requirements.
With increasing demand for carbon emissions reporting, fleet operators face challenges in accurately recording vehicle data. Alphabet’s tool helps organisations keep pace with changing legislation while improving environmental performance.

Caroline Sandall-Mansergh, consultancy and channel development manager at Alphabet GB, said Carbon Manager can transform fleet management by identifying efficiencies and reducing costs, benefiting businesses beyond simple compliance.
