Skoda Karoq SUV gains range-topping Black Edition


Skoda is expanding its Karoq SUV range with a new Black Edition, which becomes the model’s range-topping variant when order books open on 1 October 2026.

The Black Edition marks production of the millionth Karoq SUV since its launch in 2017. In the UK alone, more than 103,000 Karoqs have been registered, making it a popular choice for both fleet and private buyers.

The Black Edition essentially adds more equipment to the SportLine Edition, which includes 19-inch black alloy wheels, black exterior trim and finer details.

Climbing inside, the Black Edition has heated leather sports seats, a heated leather steering wheel, black headlining and aluminium pedals. Further standard equipment includes a panoramic glass sunroof, heated front and rear seats, and tri-zone climate control. Skoda says the Black Edition of the Karoq has the highest level of equipment ever offered on the model.

Four powertrain options will be available, kicking off with the 1.5-litre petrol engine with 150hp with a choice of either a manual or double-clutch automatic gearbox. A more powerful 190hp 2.0-litre engine adds all-wheel-drive (AWD) to the package. 

There's even a diesel, which is fairly unusual in the current market. It's a 150hp 2.0-litre unit with AWD fitted as standard. 

As for pricing, the Black Edition starts at £39,160 and rises to £46,035 for the top-spec diesel. Order books open from 1 October and the first deliveries are expected by the end of 2026.

For fleets, the Black Edition Karoq represents the most highly-specified option of a popular family SUV that boasts class-leading practicality. It does come at quite a cost, but buyers that prefer diesel powertrains will welcome the Karoq in Skoda's model range.
