59p/kWh rapid charging offers fleets a September saving

Fleet managers with drivers regularly using Motor Fuel Group EV Power sites have an immediate opportunity to reduce public charging costs during September.

Charging is available at 59p/kWh across participating MFG EV Power locations until 30 September, compared with the network’s usual higher ultra-rapid tariff.

Charging at 59p/kWh represents a 20p/kWh saving against MFG EV Power’s usual 79p/kWh tariff – around £12 less on a 60kWh charging session.

For fleets already using these sites, the saving can become meaningful over high annual mileage.

Managers should identify which drivers regularly pass MFG locations and compare the promotional price with current roaming, fleet-card and reimbursement rates.

The important point is not to reroute vehicles simply to chase a cheaper tariff. Any saving can quickly disappear if drivers add mileage or working time to reach a charger.

The strongest use case is therefore for vehicles already operating close to suitable sites.

Fleet managers should also check whether drivers can easily locate compatible chargers through their existing payment or navigation tools.

Public charging remains more expensive than many home or depot options, but short-term tariff reductions can still provide worthwhile savings where routes align.
