Metropolitan Police selects Jaama for long-term fleet management contract

Jaama has secured a fleet management software contract of up to 10 years with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), providing its Key2 platform to support one of the UK's largest and most complex public sector fleets.

Awarded following a year-long competitive tender process, the contract will see Key2 manage more than 5,000 operational vehicles covering over 52 million miles each year across Greater London. The fleet includes front-line response vehicles, armed response units, prisoner transport and forensic support vehicles.

The MPS said the platform was selected for its ability to improve productivity, compliance and operational visibility while supporting future digital developments, including greater use of AI and data-driven decision making.

Jason Powell, director of fleet services at the MPS, said the investment would help maximise vehicle availability, improve utilisation and deliver better value from every vehicle in the fleet throughout the contract.

The award strengthens Jaama's position in the public sector, building on previous deployments with organisations including Lancashire Police and NHS Scotland, where robust compliance and operational reporting are critical requirements.
