
The BYD SEAL has been revised for the 2026 model year, with improved practicality and additional driver technology while retaining its £45,730 starting price.
Boot capacity increases from 400 to 485 litres, and the front storage area grows to 72 litres, providing more space for charging cables or small luggage. Both versions use an 82.5 kWh blade battery with a WLTP range of 354 miles in Design trim and 323 miles in Excellence. DC charging peaks at 150 kW, enabling a 10 to 80 per cent recharge in 37 minutes.

The rear wheel drive Design produces 308 bhp and reaches 62 mph in 5.9 seconds. The all wheel drive Excellence delivers 523 bhp and 670 Nm, cutting the 0 to 62 mph sprint to 3.8 seconds. Top speed is limited to 112 mph.
Standard equipment includes a 15.6 inch touchscreen, panoramic roof and 12 speaker Dynaudio system. A Driver Monitoring System and Bluetooth key are now included. Warranty cover stands at six years or 93,750 miles, with battery protection up to eight years.
