Only a quarter of high-mileage business drivers regularly use advanced driver assistance systems, aka ADAS, despite their potential to reduce collisions.
Research by IAM RoadSmart, has revealed that over two-thirds of high-mileage drivers don’t use lane-keeping assist or collision-warning tech, and 66% avoid speed limiters.
Cruise control features are the most popular, with 40% of drivers saying they are users, followed by speed warnings at 37%.
Younger drivers (17–34) and men are more likely to use advanced driving aids than older or female drivers.
