Nexus rolls out one-stop digital hub for plant and HGV hire

Business rental specialist Nexus Rental has unveiled a dedicated Plant, Equipment and HGV offering.
Offered through the company’s Iris software platform, the proposition draws on an extensive supplier ecosystem.

Nexus’ partner network gives access to 700,000 assets across 125-plus suppliers and more than 650 branches. A live hire desk team aims to ensure complex hire requirements, urgent requests, and operational queries are all resolved efficiently and accurately.
Customers can source kit across five categories: site and groundworks, material handling, HGV and specialist fleets, access equipment, and site setup and welfare.
Sustainability sits at the heart of the launch. The platform tracks emissions data by individual asset, supply partner and site, while green booking preferences and environmental impact reporting are built in to support carbon-reduction targets. Electric, solar-powered, hybrid and zero-emissions machinery all feature in the catalogue of equipment options.

Chief operating officer Gerry McCaig said the offering combines three key aspects: a market-leading platform, nationwide supply coverage, and genuine sector expertise.
“That combination is what sets us apart and it is something we are proud to deliver as a responsible business. Nexus has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing us in the top 35 per cent of companies assessed globally for responsible business practice.”
