Volkswagen has pulled the covers off the all-new second generation T-Roc, which will arrive in the UK in early 2026. The new compact SUV adopts VW’s latest styling language, bringing it in line with models such as the Tiguan, Golf, Passat and the electric ID family.
Inside, a large central touchscreen dominates the cabin, with minimal physical controls. The car is longer than before, improving rear passenger comfort and boosting boot capacity to 475 litres. Built on VW’s MQB evo platform, the T-Roc benefits from upgraded hardware and software, including the latest Travel Assist, which now manages automatic lane changes and responds more intelligently to speed limits.
Other new technology includes Park Assist Pro, capable of storing parking manoeuvres and executing them automatically over 50 metres, with smartphone control available. An optional exit warning system alerts occupants to approaching cars or cyclists.
At launch, the T-Roc will feature two mild hybrid petrol engines, both 1.5 eTSI units producing 116PS or 150PS, with CO2 emissions from 124-137g/km. They will later be joined by two all-new full hybrid powertrains, while a high-performance T-Roc R is also in development.
UK pricing will be announced closer to launch, with European prices starting from £26,597.
