Cupra cuts Raval EV price as order books open

Cupra Raval has become one of the first new electric cars to qualify for the UK’s updated Electric Car Grant, helping lower the cost of one of the most anticipated small EVs heading to fleets and salary sacrifice schemes this year.

The sporty electric supermini, which rivals cars like the Renault 5 E-Tech and Alpine A290, now receives a £1,500 price cut on all versions fitted with the larger 52kWh battery.

That drops the entry point for the longer-range Raval to £28,495, while higher-spec versions now start from just over £31,000.

For everyday company car drivers, the Raval looks aimed squarely at making EVs feel less sensible and more fun again. At just over four metres long, it is about the size of a Ford Fiesta, but with sharper styling, up to 277 miles of range and significantly more performance than most traditional hatchbacks.

The more powerful 207bhp models support rapid charging at up to 105kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in around 30 minutes.

Cupra is also throwing in extra launch incentives, including free metallic paint on 52kWh models and a higher-spec Launch Edition with added technology such as Matrix LED headlights and surround-view cameras at no additional cost.

Pre-orders are now open, with first UK deliveries expected in autumn 2026.
