CUPRA Raval production ramps up ahead of 2026 launch

The CUPRA Raval will enter series production in 2026, becoming the first fully electric model built at Martorell and the first car to use Volkswagen’s new MEB+ platform.

The Raval sits in the compact electric hatchback segment alongside forthcoming rivals such as the Volkswagen ID. Polo and Skoda Epiq. Entry pricing is targeted at €26,000, around £22,900, with lower powered versions to follow.

Launch variants will focus on performance. Dynamic and Dynamic Plus models produce 208bhp, while the VZ Extreme delivers 223bhp and 214 lb ft of torque. A 0 to 62 mph time of about 6.5 seconds is expected, with a top speed of 108 mph. Unlike other MEB based models, the Raval uses front wheel drive to maximise cabin space.

Battery options are expected to include 38 kWh and 56 kWh packs, with a claimed range of up to 450 km or 280 miles. The VZ Extreme is projected at around 400 km or 249 miles, positioning it as a viable urban and regional fleet EV.
