Auto Express Awards 2026: Fleet favourites dominate this year's winners

Electric cars and vans dominated the fleet-relevant categories at this year's Auto Express New Car Awards, with several of the UK's newest models recognised for their practicality, value and everyday usability.

Among the biggest winners was the all-new Nissan LEAF, which secured three awards, including the overall Car of the Year title, underlining its credentials as one of the most significant fleet launches of 2026.

  • Small SUV of the Year: Renault 4 E-Tech electric

The Nissan LEAF was praised for combining a competitive price with up to 386 miles of range, premium ride quality and strong fleet appeal, while Kia's purpose-built PV5 Cargo reinforced the growing maturity of the electric van market by taking two commercial vehicle titles.

Škoda also enjoyed another successful year, with the Elroq retaining its Mid-size SUV crown and the Kodiaq and Superb adding further category wins.
