Audi upgrades A3 range with lower entry price and enhanced tech

Audi has refreshed its A3 range for 2026, introducing a new entry-level model, upgraded in-car technology and enhanced driver assistance systems across the line-up.

The biggest fleet headline is the arrival of a new Technik trim, which lowers the A3's starting price to £28,650. That puts Audi's premium hatchback below equivalent versions of the BMW 1 Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class, while also undercutting the Volkswagen Golf.

Across the range, the A3 receives a redesigned cabin centred around a new curved panoramic display combining an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. A redesigned centre console also adds a more ergonomic wireless charging tray with 25W fast charging capability.

Powertrain options remain unchanged, with buyers still able to choose from petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid variants. The plug-in hybrid continues to stand out for company car drivers, offering up to 89 miles of electric-only range and up to 268bhp.

Audi has also enhanced its driver assistance technology. New systems include adaptive lane guidance, upgraded adaptive cruise control and advanced parking assistance functions. Higher-specification S3 and RS3 models gain additional features including automated lane changing, remote parking capability and a new 360-degree camera system.

The updated A3 range will arrive in UK showrooms this September, with order books now open.
