CUPRA updates Born EV with new tech, safety and up to 372-mile range

CUPRA has refreshed its all-electric Born, introducing updated design, improved driver technology and new safety systems aimed at enhancing everyday usability for EV drivers and fleets.

The facelifted model adopts the brand’s latest styling, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, triangular Matrix LED headlights and an illuminated CUPRA badge integrated into the rear light bar.

Inside, the Born now features a larger 10.25-inch digital cockpit and a redesigned steering wheel with physical controls – changes that should make key functions easier for drivers to access on the move. An augmented-reality head-up display is also available.

Assessing EV range and charging practicality, the Born offers two battery options. Models with the 79kWh battery can deliver around 372 miles of range, while the 58kWh version offers around 279 miles.

Fast-charging capability of up to 185kW DC allows the larger-battery models to recharge in around 26–30 minutes.

Updated driver-assistance systems include Travel Assist 3.0, Crossroad Assist and upgraded Front Assist for enhanced safety.
