Farizon wins first UK fleet deal after beating established van rivals in month-long trial

Farizon Auto has secured its first UK fleet deal after MCFT ordered 20 new Farizon SV electric vans for its nationwide engineering operation.

MCFT trialled the SV against three established electric van rivals across multiple locations over a month-long assessment process, with engineers evaluating range, load space, payload and day-to-day usability before selecting the Farizon.

The deal gives Farizon early validation in a market where fleets remain cautious about newer Chinese brands because of concerns around servicing support, residual values and long-term reliability.

The SV has quickly developed a strong reputation among fleet operators and reviewers as one of the more convincing new-generation electric vans. Unlike many rivals adapted from diesel platforms, it was designed as a dedicated EV from the outset, helping create a low 550mm loading height, strong payload figures and more usable cargo space.

MCFT selected the 83kWh L1H1 model, which offers up to 234 miles of WLTP range and payloads of up to 1,265kg. Drivers covering up to 25,000 miles annually will use the vans for commercial kitchen maintenance, repairs and equipment deliveries.

The deal also reflects growing confidence in EV vans for higher-mileage operational use cases, particularly as fleets place greater emphasis on running costs, payload efficiency and urban emissions compliance.
