Kia EV2 Long Range secures full £3,750 Government grant

Kia has expanded its eligibility for the Government's Electric Car Grant (ECG), with all EV2 Long Range models now qualifying for the full £3,750 incentive, making the compact electric SUV an even stronger proposition for fleet buyers.

The biggest beneficiary is the EV2 Air Long Range, which now starts from £24,245 after the grant and offers up to 275 miles of WLTP range from its 61kWh battery.

Key prices after the grant include:

  • EV2 Air Long Range£24,245 (down from £27,995)
  • EV2 GT-Line Long Range£28,995
  • EV2 GT-Line S Long Range£32,595
  • EV2 First Edition (42.2kWh)£26,995 after the lower £1,500 grant

The move means Kia now has one of the broadest ranges of grant-eligible electric vehicles on sale. Alongside the EV2, qualifying models include selected EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger variants.

The EV2's new starting price, at £24,245, undercuts many larger electric rivals while delivering a practical 275-mile range, making it an increasingly attractive option for urban drivers, company car users and businesses looking to introduce lower-cost EVs without compromising everyday usability.
