Arnold Clark brings power to the people… at 55p kWh

Arnold Clark has launched its ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging network, now open to the public with over 50 hubs live across the UK. Backed by a £30 million investment, the plan will see 500 chargers installed at more than 100 locations, each branch offering up to eight 150kW rapid chargers. First introduced in March, further sites will go live before year end. Drivers benefit from competitive pricing at 55p/kWh, notably lower than many rival networks.

Payments can be made through the Arnold Clark app, contactless, or via partners such as Allstar, Zap-Pay, Octopus Electroverse and Plugsurfing. Bays are split between app users and Pay & Go customers, with most sites open 24/7 and bookable in advance. Chief executive Russell Borrie said the initiative underlines Arnold Clark’s commitment to accessible, reliable and affordable charging as EV demand grows, ensuring convenient infrastructure nationwide. Drivers can download the app to register and access services.
