Fiat Unveils Grizzly: The Panda's Bigger Brother Set to Tackle the Mid-Size SUV Market

Fiat has officially unveiled the Grizzly, a new mid-size SUV positioned as the "bigger brother" to the recently introduced Grande Panda.

Scheduled to launch later this year, the Grizzly aims to bring Fiat back to the heart of the family mobility market by focusing on affordability, practicality, and smart design.

Measuring just under 4.5 meters in length, the new model will be available in two distinct body styles: a traditional SUV and a sleek Grizzly Fastback.

Built on the flexible Stellantis Smart Car platform it shares with the Grande Panda, Citroën C3, and Vauxhall Frontera, the Grizzly will offer its distinctive LED signature and a full powertrain lineup, including both petrol and electric options.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois emphasised that the Grizzly completes a coherent lineup of accessible family movers built for urban use and long journeys.

To win over buyers from key rivals like the Dacia Duster and Volkswagen T-Roc, Fiat is promising a highly spacious interior alongside a best-in-class boot capacity.

The Grizzly represents a major step forward in Stellantis’s aggressive growth strategy, which outlines plans to launch 60 new vehicles by 2030 across its diverse brand portfolio.

UK drivers can look forward to getting their hands on the Grizzly wheel in 2027.
