Kia has opened orders for its new EV4, a sleek hatchback-style EV that sits between the EV3 and EV5 in the brand’s expanding electric line-up.
Priced from £34,695, the EV4 offers up to 388 miles of range and competes with the Renault Megane E-Tech, VW ID3 and Tesla Model 3.
Built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, the EV4 is available with either a 58.3kWh battery (273 miles range) or a larger 81.4kWh pack (388 miles). Both versions are powered by a 204PS motor and support 10 to 80% DC fast-charging in about 30 minutes.
Inside, the car features a 30-inch-wide floating display, combining infotainment, climate control and digital dials, with some physical buttons retained. The entry-level EV4 Air includes LED headlights, heated seats, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and driver assistance tech. It’s offered with both batteries.
The GT-Line (£39,395) adds sportier styling and premium interior touches, while the GT-Line S (£43,895) gains a sunroof, ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon system and a 360° camera.
A saloon version is also planned.
