Kia widens PV5 electric range with compact van and seven-seat people carrier

Kia has bolstered its electric PV5 line-up, adding a smaller van body style and a three-row passenger version to its purpose-built electric range.

For fleet operators, the headline change is the Cargo L1/H1, the new entry point to the van range.

First shown at this year's CV Show, its reduced wheelbase (200mm shorter than the existing L2/H1 model) trims load volume to 4.0m³, yet lifts payload to 800kg – 10kg more than the larger variant.

Buyers can choose 51.5kWh or 71.2kWh batteries, offering up to 177 and 243 WLTP miles respectively, with prices from £27,355 (excluding VAT and the £5000 Zero-Emission Van Grant).

For passengers, the new seven-seater adopts a 2-2-3 layout and 318 litres of boot space, targeting ride-hailing, taxi, airport-transfer and shuttle operators. Pricing opens at £36,995 in Essential trim.

Kia has also introduced a plusher ‘Elite’ grade with electric sliding doors, ventilated front seats and surround-view cameras, from £39,675 for the five-seater.

Order books opened on Monday, 8 June, 2026 at PBV Centres across the UK, before its initial customer deliveries in October.
