BMW has revealed the all-new iX3, the first model to use its Neue Klasse platform. This fully-electric SUV promises a WLTP range of up to 500 miles and 400kW rapid charging, placing it among the most advanced electric cars available.
UK sales start in March 2026 with prices from £58,755.
At its core is BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive system, which introduces cylindrical battery cells, dual electric motors and 800-volt technology. The system cuts energy losses by 40%, reduces weight by 10% and lowers production costs by 20%.
The iX3 50 xDrive delivers 469PS and 645Nm of torque, achieving 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 130mph. A 10-minute rapid charge adds up to 231 miles of range.
Inside, BMW’s new Panoramic iDrive infotainment system stretches across the windscreen, paired with a central touchscreen. Standard features include heated electric front seats, 20-inch alloys, Driving Assistant Plus with adaptive cruise control, and 400kW DC/11kW AC charging.
Three trims will be offered. M Sport adds unique styling and sports touches, while M Sport Pro introduces adaptive LED headlights, Iconic Glow lighting, high-gloss M finishes and upgraded seating.
Measuring 4782mm long, the iX3 offers 520 litres of boot space, extendable to 1750 litres, plus 58 litres under the bonnet. Maximum towing capacity is 2000kg.
