Duracell E-Charge opens second UK ultra-rapid charging hub
Duracell E-Charge has brought its second UK charging site live, with a new ultra-rapid hub now operational in Swalwell, Newcastle.
Located just minutes from the Metrocentre and nearby amenities, the site is designed to support both quick top-ups and longer stops — a practical addition for EV drivers operating in and around the North East.
The Swalwell hub features:

6 ultra-rapid 300kW chargers

12 charging bays
-
Free parking while charging (up to one hour)
As with other Duracell E-Charge locations, the site is powered by 100% renewable energy, with a stated target of 99%+ uptime, and a focus on ease of access for drivers and commercial partners alike.
