Paua and Zaptec have partnered to bring home, workplace, depot and public charging into a more connected fleet-management proposition.
Zaptec provides charging hardware while Paua’s platform can consolidate payments and charging information across different locations.
For fleet managers, the value is not simply another charging partnership. It is the move towards one record of energy use wherever the vehicle plugs in.
As fleets scale EV adoption, managers increasingly need to know which vehicle charged, where it happened, what the electricity cost and whether business mileage reimbursement is accurate.
Fragmented apps, home-charging claims and public-network invoices can quickly create unnecessary administration.
Fleets reviewing charging systems should therefore prioritise platforms capable of combining data across multiple environments rather than treating each charging location separately.
The immediate objective should be a consistent cost-per-mile view across the EV fleet.
As charging becomes more distributed, simpler data and payments could become just as important as the chargers themselves.
