Europcar Mobility Group UK has added the BYD Seal U DM-i Plug-in Hybrid SUV to its fleet, offering an electric-only range of 78 miles and a total range of up to 700 miles. Designed to ease drivers into electric motoring, it combines EV convenience with petrol reassurance, helping eliminate range anxiety.
Available through Europcar’s Flex Model Choice, the Seal U DM-i can be rented from three months, giving businesses fixed monthly costs and predictable Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) calculations. Its spacious five-seat interior and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) tech make it ideal for family trips, enabling drivers to power items like laptops or BBQs on the go.
Charging to 80% in just 35 minutes (or 100% in two hours via a home charger), the vehicle suits long journeys.
Standard kit includes 360-degree cameras, a 15.6-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, a digital driver’s display, head-up display, heated seats and adaptive cruise control.
Europcar says it wants to give drivers more low and zero-emission options without long-term commitment.
