Mercedes-Benz has revealed full UK details for its first all-electric GLC, a premium SUV that blends the brand’s hallmark refinement with major gains in efficiency, space, and intelligent technology.
Launching mid-2026, the GLC 400 4MATIC debuts with 489 hp, a 94 kWh battery, and up to 406 miles of range. Rapid 330 kW charging enables 10–80% top-ups in around 20 minutes, while the new “One-Box” braking system and four selectable recuperation levels help recover up to 300 kW of energy under deceleration, meaning hydraulic brakes are used in fewer than 1% of stops.
For fleets and business drivers, the electric GLC offers a strong case for total cost and user appeal: a 520-litre boot, optional rear-axle steering for tighter urban manoeuvres, and a 2.4-tonne towing capacity for operational flexibility.
Inside, Mercedes’ next-generation MB.OS operating system and optional MBUX Hyperscreen deliver seamless digital control, while a new vegan interior option underscores the brand’s sustainability push.
Prices start from £60,350, with five UK specifications available, from Sport to Premier Edition, each balancing executive comfort with practical fleet readiness.
