Morson Vital drives down risk and insurance costs with safety-first telematics

Rail infrastructure contractor Morson Vital has built a strong safety culture across its nationwide fleet by integrating digital vehicle checks, tracking and connected dashcam data into everyday operations. Operating more than 650 light commercial vehicles across 23 offices, the business supports over 100,000 rail shifts each year, where reliability and safety are essential.

Fleet Manager Keith Woodcock says this long-term safety focus has delivered tangible results. Before installing Quartix connected dashcams and crash data analysis, the company’s insurance claims lost ratio was 87%. With the telematics system fully in place, that figure has dropped to 32%, saving tens of thousands of pounds annually and reducing downtime.
