OMODA UK has confirmed its first full hybrid model for the British market with the launch of the OMODA 5 SHS-H, priced from just £25,740 on the road. Positioned firmly below the £30,000 mark, the new compact SUV brings electrified driving to one of the most price sensitive and competitive segments.
Designed for drivers who want improved efficiency without the need to plug in, the OMODA 5 SHS-H uses a 1.5 litre turbo full hybrid system to deliver a total driving range of more than 650 miles. Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes 7.9 seconds, while WLTP fuel economy reaches up to 53 mpg, making it well suited to everyday UK driving.
The model complements the existing petrol OMODA 5 and all electric OMODA E5, expanding choice across the line up. Offered in Knight and Noble trims, standard equipment includes dual 12.3 inch digital displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, intelligent voice control and a full suite of driver assistance systems. Higher specification versions add features such as a 540 degree camera, premium audio and heated and ventilated seats.
Victor Zhang, UK Country Director, said the OMODA 5 SHS-H delivers “highly efficient, intelligently engineered vehicles that fit seamlessly into everyday life”. Orders open in March 2026 through OMODA’s 101 strong UK dealer network, with every model supported by a seven year or 100,000 mile vehicle warranty and an eight year battery warranty.
