Tyre-wear league revealed by Kwik Fit

Tesla's Model 3 T

Tesla's Model 3 is the worst performer… or the best if you sell tyres
Kwik Fit has identified the cars and brands that experience the most tyre wear.
Topping the list, by a wide margin, is the Tesla Model 3, which led the rankings in 54 areas of Britain – more than double that of its nearest rival.
In second place is the Citroën Berlingo, topping 24 regions, while Tesla’s Model Y lands third, dominating 16 areas.
Completing the top six are the Mercedes CLA (nine), BMW 4 Series and Volvo XC40 (both seven).
With over two million drivers visiting Kwik Fit annually, analysts examined tyre change trends by region, revealing how certain models wear rubber more aggressively than average.
Electric vehicles feature heavily, suggesting that instant torque and heavier kerb weights may be accelerating tyre wear.
