The UK’s public EV charging network continues its rapid expansion, with the latest Zapmap figures showing a 22% year-on-year increase in total charging devices.
As of October 2025, there are now 86,798 charging devices installed across 44,142 locations nationwide — a strong indicator of sustained investment in public charging infrastructure to support the accelerating shift to electric vehicles.
Over the past month alone, 777 new devices have been added, including 378 rapid (50kW+) and ultra-rapid (150kW+) chargers, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve network reliability and coverage for both fleet and private EV users.
The growth highlights the industry’s continued focus on expanding charging access in strategic urban, rural, and motorway locations, ensuring the UK remains on track for its zero-emission vehicle targets.
