New VW Transporter Kombi and Shuttle order books open

VW Kombi


Volkswagen has opened the order books for the latest versions of its Transporter van – the Kombi and the Shuttle.

The Kombi is aimed at crew van use, offering seating for five (with an option of an extra, sixth seat), while the Shuttle is intended for passenger transport, accommodating eight or nine.

The Kombi comes in Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro trims. Commerce Plus features include LED headlights and DRLs, manual air conditioning, a 12in digital display, a 13in touchscreen with wireless App Connect, parking sensors front and rear, and a reversing camera. Commerce Pro adds 16in alloys, a heated windscreen, heated seats, automatic air con and wireless phone charging.

VW Shuttle


The Shuttle is available in Life and Style trims. Life spec includes 16in alloys, manual lumbar support, the same display and infotainment tech as the Kombi, rear sensors and a reversing camera. Style trim upgrades to 17in alloys, LED rear lights, a heated windscreen, three-zone climate control and wireless charging.

Both models are initially offered with a 110hp diesel engine, with electric variants due later this summer. Customers can choose between short or long wheelbase configurations.

Prices (excluding VAT) start at £35,250 for the Kombi (Commerce Plus SWB) and £41,205 for the Shuttle (Life SWB).
